Capabilities

Real estate commissions in a market where the average price of $120,000.00 is high.  Using just the average purchase price, an average of $8,400.00 per sale is being charged for a single real estate transaction.  With such a loss, both buyers and sellers are turning to alternative means of selling or purchasing a home.  The Internet is a good means.  With the alternatives does come certain risks, but that is where an attorney can better protect you, and at much less costs.

Compare a realtor's course with those classes required of an attorney for a Juris Doctorate Degree and there is no comparison.  Many realtors have not attended college, while attorneys attend 4 years of undergraduate school and 3 years of law school.  In addition, attorney's are required to take continuing legal classes.  Some realtors work part-time; attorneys at our firm do not.

Attorney's also know hidden risks due to our experience in the courtroom.  For example, do you know that if you do not hire your inspector you cannot later sue your inspector for a false or inaccurate report?  Such a case existed, where a potential buyer "purchased" the report from a former potential buyer that failed to financially qualify.  This purchase was on the advice of a real estate agent.  The report failed to take into account any damage or revisions made between the time it was made and the time the new buyers were purchasing the home.  Who to sue now?  We sued the real estate agent for the bad advice, and we sued the inspection company, but knew they could probably prove a lack of contract between the parties.

So who do you trust?  Come to us.  Call us at 317-848-3355.  Do not risk your financial future on the largest purchase you are likely to make in your lifetime.
